Sound, breath & meditation

2, 5 or 10-minute sessions with a gentle breathing guide, ambient sound mixer, captions and a practice log.

Steps

  1. Choose a duration and breathing pace.
  2. Mix ambient sounds or mute.
  3. Follow the visual guide and captions.
  4. Log the session; favourite your settings.

Background

Slow, comfortable breathing (around 5–6 breaths per minute) is widely used for relaxation; reviews such as Zaccaro et al. (2018) describe associated calm and alertness for many people. Patterns here avoid breath-holding and hyperventilation. Ambient sounds are synthesized in your browser, so no third-party recordings are used.

Limitations

  • No healing frequencies or medical effects are claimed. Stop if you feel dizzy and breathe normally.
